We’re proud to announce that our 360-VR based screenplay, The Costume, has earned a Finalist spot at the 8th Edition of the Oaxaca FilmFest!  It will be competing with 35 other projects for Best *Blockbuster*. It will also be competing for the main Award - The 2017 Global Script Challenge: Best Overall Script. This is the fourth time The Costume has been recognized at a film festival or screenwriting competition. The laurels have been added to our Awards page.

A Touch of Fire has once again earned recognition at a screenwriting competition. This time we were excited to learn that it placed as a Quarter Finalist at Shriekfest Film Festival & Screenplay Competition 2017! As more results come in from various festivals and competitions, we’ll continue to update the page. We’ve learned of some great results to be announced in September, so be sure to check back in soon.

May / June 2017
We are proud to announce the first festival recognition of our Winding Road television pilot. Screenplay Festival, based out of Sherman Oaks, CA, first announced in February that Winding Road had been selected as a Semi-Finalist. By May, we were ecstatic to learn that the Judges at Screenplay Festival had moved us into a Finalist position. At the beginning of June, we were excited to learn that Winding Road, for the first time, has won an Honorable Mention award in the TV Script – One Hour category at Screenplay Festival. We were honored to receive laurels last week and they are now posted on our Awards page!!

April 2017
Although we didn’t take home a big prize at the iHorror Awards, we are excited to see On-Set Upgrade gain more recognition having secured Official Selection status at the Portland Comedy Film Festival. The concept behind this screenplay – time traveling, dimension shifting hammock included – was originally the brainchild of Martin Qureshi. He brought Dean on board early and together they fleshed out the details – flesh tearing and blood spurts included. Inspired by the notion of collaborating on a project and thinking two minds are better than one – sometimes for dinner too! – they penned the hilariously gory throwback flick On-Set Upgrade. Final nomination and winners for the Portland Comedy Film Festival will be announced next month.

March 2017
With the results of 3rd Annual iHorror Awards still pending, where A Touch of Fire and The Costume are both Selections vying for a final prize, we have heard back on some other film festivals  and screenwriting competitions. We're excited to announce that the 13Horror.com Film and Screenplay Contest has selected both On-Set Upgrade and A Touch of Fire as Finalists for their competition! This is the first selection for On-Set Upgrade.
Furthermore, A Touch of Fire has been chosen as a Finalist for the 2017 Crimson Screen Horror Film Fest, with winners to be announced in May. Visit our Awards page to check out the laurels!

Feb 2017
As we continue to enter various film festivals and screenwriting competitions, the positive results keep coming in. This month our feature film screenplay A Touch of Fire, and our 360-Video short film script The Costume, have both received nominations for the 3rd Annual iHorror Awards! It is an honor to be selected, especially since this is the first year the iHorror.com team has accepted open entries from the film industry. This is the second nomination for A Touch of Fire, as it was previously a 2016 Finalist for TheWriteRoom.org annual Screenplay Competition. As for The Costume, this is the third selection in as many months and we’re hoping to see more come its way! Results from the iHorror Awards will be announced in March.

Jan 2017
Our website launches!! Well, you’re here, so we guess you know that already.  In other news, the 10th Annual Virtual Reality Script Competition out of Los Angeles has selected The Costume, our 360-Video horror short film screenplay, as a Semi-Finalist in their 2016 competition. We feel honored! The Costume also won the Best Unproduced Screenplay Award at the Northeast Film Festival Horror Fest in December. We hope to see this eerie short film on a VR headset near you sometime this year. Stay tuned for updates…
